NSSTA Congratulates Florida Governor Rick Scott for signing into law improvements to the Florida State Structured Settlement Protection Act 

Washington, D.C., March 10, 2016— The National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA) today thanked Florida Governor Rick Scott for signing into law improvements to the existing Florida Structured Settlement Protection Act (SSPA). NSSTA also praised state lawmakers on both sides of the aisle in the Florida legislature for unanimous passage of improvements to the State’s SSPA.  Florida CS/HB 458 passed both houses of the legislature unanimously.

NSSTA Congratulates Virginia Governor McAuliffe & the Virginia General Assembly for Enacting Changes to Commonwealth's Structured Settlement Protection Act

Washington, D.C., March 8, 2016— The National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA) today thanked Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe for signing into law improvements to the Commonwealth’s existing Structured Settlement Protection Act (SSPA).  NSSTA also praised Senator William Stanley and Delegate Terry Kilgore, the principal patrons of the new legislation (Senate Bill 621 and House Bill52), and their fellow lawmakers in the General Assembly, where the bill passed unanimously in each house.

NSSTA Applauds Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker for Signing the SSPA into Law

Washington, D.C., November 11, 2015— The National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA) applauds Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s bold leadership for signing the Wisconsin Structured Settlements Protection Act (SSPA) bill into law on November 11, 2015. This is great news for the thousands of Wisconsin residents and families who have suffered serious physical injuries from accidents who now have a State law on the books that will protect their structured settlements from abusive factoring company practices.
